RHA Constitution — Charter of Reservation Hatao Andolan
This is the internal governing charter of Reservation Hatao Andolan (RHA India) — the document that sets out who we are, what we stand for, and how the movement is organised. It is separate from, and should not be confused with, the Constitution of India, which RHA references and campaigns around — see our full Constitution of India reference page for that.
1. Name & Symbol
Name
The movement shall be known as Reservation Hatao Andolan, also referred to as RHA or RHA India.
Symbol
The cockroach — chosen as a symbol of resilience, adaptability, and the refusal to be silenced, representing the youth of India who keep surviving a system stacked against them.
2. Objectives
RHA's founding objectives are set out in full on our Objectives page and our Manifesto. In summary: a transparent, time-bound review of India's reservation framework, an economic-criteria-first approach to affirmative action, anti-corruption accountability, and a louder political voice for unemployed and underemployed Indian youth.
3. Membership
Eligibility
Any Indian citizen may join RHA free of cost by registering on this website and receiving a digital RHA Member ID card with a unique Swarm ID.
Conduct
Members are expected to engage in lawful, non-violent digital activism — satire, awareness campaigns, and civic pressure, not incitement or harassment of any individual or community.
4. Organisational Structure
National Committee
Coordinates nationwide campaigns and represents RHA's official positions. See National Committee.
State Presidents
Coordinate activity within a state. See State Presidents.
District Presidents
Coordinate activity at the district level. See District Presidents.
5. Amendments
This charter may be revised by the National Committee as the movement grows. The version published on this page is always the current, authoritative one.
